International Schools Dragon Boat Regatta

Your school group must be at least 30 students in number to have a dragon boat regatta.

If your group is 60 or more we can have heats and at least 4 teams. This is ideally a half day activity and can be paired with a cardboard boat making (which is also a half-day activity). If that’s the decision, how about one of our famous Beach BBQ’s for lunch?

Dragonboat Regatta

Dragon Boat Training and Regatta

The organisation for this activity is very straight forward, we do land training with crews and then we board the boats and spend 30 minutes learning to paddle and respond to the calls of the helmsman.  After a short break ashore, with refreshments and fruit to refresh and restore energy, we start the Regatta. Crews race against the clock and each other; if possible we do three races but sometimes that's enough for the crews. It really is exhausting although lots and lots of fun!
